This portrait was commissioned by one of my youngest daughter’s best friends, for her husband’s first Father’s Day, thus the name “First”; first moment with his first child, that moment no parent will ever forget. I loved working on this.

I left the background blank knowing the swaddle named the moment, the time and place; and I wanted to give that feeling of “nothing else matters.”
